Bull Information

The Chapman Family Ranches has three Camp Cooley bulls purchased just for breeding heifers. These bulls are easy calving, low birth weight bulls (EPDs for the bulls are listed below).

The standard for calving for the Brangus breed is 2.0. Compare this number to the calving EPDs of the two bulls we are using (see below).

In the past two years, we had to pull only one calf, and its front foot was turned backward.

Nimiz

Nimiz is out of Nimiz of Brinks, from CEO of Brinks.

Bright Side of Brinks

Bright (as we call him) is a heifer bull. He has a negative birth weight, so he is perfect for heifers. The Brangus breed average is 2.0, so he should throw calves around 50 pounds. He is extremely high in milk (20.1) while the breed average is 9.1. This high milk number means that his heifers should give a lot more milk than average.

Bright calved September 18, 2004. He has medium bone density.
